RomoCoat 1255 - Zinc Phosphate Flow Primer
RomoCoat 1255 is a high-performance zinc phosphate–based flow primer specially developed for radiator dip (immersion) coating applications. It provides superior corrosion protection and long-term durability to radiator components.
Th
e primer actively inhibits rust formation on steel and metal substrates by forming a protective zinc phosphate layer, which acts as a strong and stable base for subsequent topcoats.
A key speciality of RomoCoat 1255 is its bubble-free flow coating performance, ensuring smooth, uniform films even in immersion applications.
RomoCoat 1255 is a two-component, phenalkamine-cured, air-drying primer, pigmented with zinc phosphate, suitable for both industrial and heavy-duty protective coating systems.

Key Features & Benefits
- Excellent anti-corrosive protection
- Bubble-free, smooth flow coating
- Durable and uniform coating film
- Superior adhesion to metal surfaces
- Good water and moisture resistance
- Fast drying, enabling efficient production cycles
- Compatible with epoxy and alkyd-based topcoats
- Ideal for flow and dip coating processes

Strong & Credible
A trusted regular supplier to over 20 radiator and transformer manufacturers pan-India.
EPIROSE® 1255 is ideally suited for Radiator DIP (Immersion) Coating, where bundles of radiator fins—typically made of steel or aluminum—are immersed into a coating tank containing the primer.
This process ensures:
- Complete coverage, including hard-to-reach areas
- Uniform and consistent film thickness
- Enhanced corrosion protection of the entire assembly
Application Methods:
Airless Spray, Air Spray, Brush, Flow / Dip Coating

Typical Uses
- Industrial radiators
- Automotive radiators
- HVAC radiators
- Heat exchangers
- Metal components requiring
- Long-term rust protection

Surface Preparation
- Steel surfaces should preferably be shot-blast cleaned to Sa 2½ as per Swedish Specification
- Alternatively, surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, dust, rust, and other contaminants
- Non-ferrous surfaces should be adequately roughened to ensure proper adhesion
Health & Safety
- Avoid inhalation of solvent vapors or paint mist
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes
- Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined or poorly ventilated areas
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Follow all applicable local and national safety regulations
